Information on the buses offered from the Hellenic Society and the Greater Manchester Cyprus Society (GMCS) to take students to the church for the Greek Easter special days (Friday the 25th, Saturday the 26th of April).

In order to facilitate your visit to the Greek Orthodox Church for the main Greek Easter services, the two greater Manchester Greek/Cypriot student societies have joined together to book buses that depart from OpalGardens in Victoria Park, BBC (Oxford Road) and from the University of Manchester Student Union and take you for free to the church. If you wish to book a place/ places, please e-mail us at hellenic@umsu.man.ac.uk or if you prefer call Alex (07789716601) with the number of places and the departure point – limited seat availability. The bus times are:
Friday the 25th of April – 7:15pm Opal Gardens/ 7:30pm UMSU/BBC, leaving the Greek Church at 10pm. (2 coaches)
Saturday the 26th of April – 10:30pm Opal Gardens/ 11:00pm UMSU/BBC, leaving the Greek Church at 12:45am. (3 coaches)

Καλημερα, εγω ειμαι μια τυπική Αθηναία…. χωρις πολλά πολλά θρησκευτικά χουγια.. Αλλά να πω την αλήθεια συγκινούμαι – ασχετως στοχων – όταν γίνονται τέτοιες προσπάθειες συνάντησης των ελληνων . Οι κοινότητες των ελληνων τελικά μπορεί να ειναι ένας μύθος, ομορφα δουλεμένος μεσα στα χρόνια, αλλά δεν ξέρω, τουτες τις μέρες τις αγιοσύνης, κάτι μου κάνει κλικ και οφείλω να το καταθέσω….
